Designed For: This course is designed for patrol officers, latent investigators, detectives, intelligence officers, analysts or supervisors with an interest in learning about"ethnic"organized crime and gangs.

Prerequisites:None.

Certification: This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description: This three (3) day course provides:

  • Specialized training relating to the emerging criminal threat posed by Asian Organized Crime groups in the USA .
  • Learn about “eastern” culture and how the burgeoning Asian population in the U.S. is impacting domestic crime
  • Recognize characteristics of Asian crime, and the utilization of unique investigative techniques
  • Learn about the growth and development of the Asian criminal group in the U.S. during the past decade
  • Learn significant issues of interest to law enforcement personnel, including the relationship of Asian gangs to drug trafficking and distribution
  • Course will convey valuable information relating to the Asian groups' criminal operations, crime typologies and criminal commodities
  • Learn use of violence and intimidation by Asian gangs
  • Learn the cross-cultural differences and barriers involved in policing Asian criminals
  • Learn methods and solutions that may be employed by law enforcement agencies to deal with the problem of Asian Organized crime
