Drug Unit Supervisors Course

Length: 5 days (40 hours)

Designed For: All active Sworn and Certified State or Local Law Enforcement Officers.

Prerequisites: None.

Certification: This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description: This course is intended for the Drug Unit Supervisor who has been promoted into or transferred into a Supervisory Position in a Drug Unit or to a Drug Task Force. It will prepare the new supervisor to organize and manage investigations involving agents as to accountability, control, stress, informant issues, and multi-agency issues. Students will address organization, financial, personnel, political issues and problems during the course.

Objectives Covered:

This course will prepare new supervisors to properly and successfully conduct day-to-day investigations, which include evidence accountability, informant documentation and management, undercover planning and operations, surveillance operations, raid execution, asset forfeiture, task force management and legal and liability issues.
