Designed For: This course is designed for mid to upper level managers with an interest in learning about how police intelligence systems can be integrated throughout a law enforcement agency to serve as a tool for operations planning and needs assessment as well as strategic planning and forecasting.

Prerequisites: None.

Certification: This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description: This training program is designed as a management-level training seminar aimed at the law enforcement supervisor or middle manager who is interested in gaining insight into the many and varied ways that the intelligence process, when properly applied, can support police operations throughout the law enforcement agency. The course is designed to be presented at an advanced level, in a workshop environment, geared towards an audience of law enforcement managers. Some of the fundamental concepts and rationales relating to law enforcement intelligence will be presented for the purpose of providing an understanding of the basic principles involved.

The majority of the training will be focused on the use and application of the intelligence process to provide operational and strategic planning resources to the police manager.

Additional topics will include:

.A legal update and discussion of specific liability concerns for police managers
.Issues related to police record systems and their management
.Complex case management
.Contemporary crime trends and criminal groups

Attendees will be exposed to the most up-to-date current crime threats and effective methods for dealing with them.
