NGB Counterdrug Civil Operations (DDR) Phase I

Length: 5 days (40 Hours)

Designed For: Any Soldier or Airmen assigned to a Drug Demand Reduction (Mission 6) position in the State or Territory's Counterdrug Program.

Course Content: NGR 500-2/ANGI 10-801, DDR CMIS Input, Mission 6 Categories, Evaluation Techniques, Basic Drug Education, Importance of Coalitions, Public Affairs.

Prerequisites:

  • Military personnel conducting approved Drug Demand Reduction missions.
  • Prior Instructor Training Course (ITC) is recommended but not required.

Certification: This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and has been accepted for certification in other states.

Description: This 40 hour course is designed to provide a basic understanding of how to operate within a Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) program IAW NGR 500-2/ANGI 10-801. Students will be given an introduction to DDR, instructed in Basic Drug Education, Instruction Techniques, Facilitation and Public Affairs. At the conclusion of this course, students will have developed a basic understanding of DDR's mission and our support role. This course is also the prerequisite to attend the NGB Civil Operations (DDR) Phase II.
