Basic Gang School

Designed For : This course is designed for patrol officers and investigators who are exposed to motorcycle and street gangs.

Certification : This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description :This three-day course consists of 1-½ days of training on motorcycle gangs and 1-½ days on street gangs. The focus is on the methods employed by street gangs to distribute narcotics. Through an overview of gangs, students will become familiar with this subculture and its relationship to the vast narcotics network as well as methods of gang enforcement.

The street gangs portion will include, but not limited to, Folk People, Bloods, Crips, Asians, Jamaicans, Hispanic Gangs, and Hate Groups. Officer safety in working around street gangs is stressed.
