NGB Counterdrug Safety Course

Length : 5 days

Designed For : This course is designed for National Guard Counterdrug personnel wanting to increase their safety awareness level.

Prerequisites : Please contact Registration Coordinator CPT Gary Crist at 601.679.2486 or by email at gary.l.crist@us.army.mil.  Attendance is limited to National Guard personnel assigned to a NGB Counterdrug Program.

Certification : This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description : This course increases the student's awareness of safety measures and precautions that must be taken to enhance the safety level of personnel assigned to the NGB Counterdrug Program.

• ARNG/ANG safety programs
• Risk Management
• Unit Safety Management
• Safety SOPs
• OPSEC
• Counterdrug mission hazards and safety
• Environmental hazards
• OSHA
• Clandestine labs, indoor grows
• HAZMAT
• Pre-accident plans
• Weapons and vehicle safety
• Stress and fatigue management

Students will have an opportunity to analyze safety situations and make recommendations for increased safety measures. They will leave with a renewed understanding and motivation to ensure that an efficient safety program is in effect in their units.
