Officer Safety, High Risk Operational Skills: Level II

Length: 5 days

Designed For: This course is designed for any law enforcement officer participating in high-risk operations such as search warrants and/or arrests of dangerous suspects, whether the officer is assigned to Patrol, Investigations, Narcotics, or Specialty units such as Warrant Service Teams, Special Operations or Tactical Units. Although basic tactical philosophies and techniques are taught, this is NOT a S.W.A.T. certification course.

Prerequisites: Applicants MUST have completed RCTA or MCTC's Officer Safety: High Risk Event Planning System Level I or RCTA's previous course titled: Raid Planning/Service of High Risk Warrants course. No substitutions or exceptions . Proof of completion must be provided with application.

Any Student who is allergic to "bee stings" are required to bring an antidote. No Exceptions!

Certification : This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description: This class builds upon the planning process taught in the Officer Safety: High Risk Planning System-Level I course. It teaches:

Equipment Requirements: Students should bring body armor, eye protection, gloves and any other entry related or safety equipment that they would normally employ in a high risk operation. Any necessary equipment that the student does not possess will be provided by the RCTA. This equipment will be necessary and required during practical exercises and scenario-based training. When possible, the student should wear his/her own equipment to enhance the training experience. Students should be prepared for training in potentially inclement weather conditions during the practical exercises. Students should also be prepared to participate in training exercises that may exceed the normal eight hour workday. Some training may continue after the evening meal break.
