First In Response, Securing Terrorist Situations (FIRSTS)

Length : 20 hours (2 ½ days)

Designed For : ALL FIRST RESPONDERS to include - Patrol Officers, Patrol Supervisors, Firefighters, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT).

Prerequisites : NONE

Certification : This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description : This course is designed to prepare the first responding officers with a comprehensive response plan which will give them:

•  Ability to initially manage a critical incident, such as a terrorist attack

•  Insight to become an effective leader at this type of incident

•  Reduce injury and property destruction through a rapid and coordinated response

•  Understanding of current practices and methodology of terrorism including:

  • Common points to all terrorist incidents
  • Critical Incident Response Plan to a terrorist incident
  • How to apply the Critical Incident Response Plan
