REGIONAL COUNTERDRUG TRAINING ACADEMY

OSHA RECERTIFICATION (LEVEL A,B,C,D) AND SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR CERTIFICATION

Length :  16 hours (2 days)

Designed For :  Anyone having to be recertified under OSHA regulations for Level A,B,C, or D (day 1). Anyone that will have control and/or supervision of a WMD/Clandestine laboratory/ hazardous material site (day 2).

Prerequisites :  OSHA Level A,B,C, or D Certification.

Certification : This course is POST certified in the states of Mississippi and Georgia and accepted for certification in other states.

Description :  The first day will be the OSHA Recertification Day.  Students whose certifications have expired, or are due to expire, will be recertified in Level A or Level B, C, and D, respectively.  You will receive a certificate of completion from the RCTA AND you will receive the necessary OSHA Recertification card from the instructor.

The second day will be the Site Safety Supervisor Certification day.  This course is open to all emergency responders.  You do NOT need to be in a supervisory position within your department/agency to receive a Site Safety Supervisor certification.  If you potentially will be (or could be) in charge of a clan lab investigation scene (i.e. seizure of dangerous chemicals and/or clan lab dump site), this course is for you.  This certification will emphasize the responsibilities and liabilities of the on scene supervisor. This course is OSHA mandatory for site supervisors, but is highly recommended for the site safety officer. Unlike the Level A, B, C, and D certifications, you do not need to recertify annually to be a Site Safety Supervisor.  It is a lifetime certification which you will receive from the RCTA upon completion.

Please note that you MUST register for each day separately because of the nature of the two separate certifications.
